I recently moved from Sky BB to BT Infinity and had the Homehub 5 installed.
I disconnected my Seagate Goflex Home 2TB NAS day before moving to BT, I didn't hook it up for two weeks for various reasons (busy with xmas coming up etc).
Now when I pluged in switched on it gave a beeping noise for a few minutes and now the drive cannot be detected.
When I try login in either on the computer software or via internet Seagate Share it says 'no storage device is connected'. The drive is plugged in correctly but the white light on front which lets you know the hard drive is ready doesn't come on.
I've tried deleting and reinstalling software to my MacBook but made no difference.
I've tried swapping network cables to the Homehub 5 and used different ports but again nothing.
Last night I thought why not try resetting the Goflex Home and setup again (this should not delete anything on the drive I believe). Well I held the reset button for 10 seconds as instructed and the lights flashed but the unit does not shut down as the instructions says it should.
Now when I try install software to setup again the wizard says it cant detect a Goflex Home on my network...............
I have no idea why the Goflex Home has decided to do this it seemed fine prior to disconnecting from Sky Router. it would beep now and again but worked fine.
Anyone have any ideas?
I'm lost............
