Lexicon Psp 42 Plugin Free Download Windows 7

With so many tape delays and proudly analogue echo effects on the market, it’s surprising how few overtly digital options there are. As we pointed out in our recent feature on old-school samplers, it’s not just vintage analogue gear that has character; older digital processors had their own distinctive sound, too. PSP 85 isn’t a direct emulation of a hardware delay, but it’s heavily inspired by classic models. PSP Audioware’s Lexicon PSP 42 plugin is loosely based on the classic Lexicon PCM 42, a mono digital delay built in the early 80s and still commanding high prices on the second-hand market to this day. Lexicon officially endorsed the plugin, but PSP didn’t stop there, first developing a more advanced stereo version dubbed PSP 84, then updating it to PSP 85.

The PCM 42 wasn’t a cold, clinical delay and neither is PSP 85. It’s got similar warmth and colour to the Lexicon classic, but with much more extensive options for shaping and modulating the sound. Like the PCM 42 that inspired it, PSP 85 is also great at modulation effects like flanging and phasing. It’s a modern all-rounder with heaps of vintage character. One of our favourites for tweaking and twisting signals until they evolve into entirely new sounds.
