SmartFoxServer is the core product of the SmartFox platform. It is available in three different editions: Basic, Pro and 2X. The following table compares the major features of the SmartFoxServer editions. SmartFox integrates SIS, LMS, and online courseware, all on a mobile-friendly, open-source platform. The Community Edition can be used in both non-profit and commercial projects provided that you show a readable 'Powered by SmartFoxServer' notice in your main screen or application GUI. The official logo is available in the Extras section of this page.

In case of minor updates and additions to the server or its components after the main package release, a separate download link is provided in the Updates section of this page.
Updating the Client API to the latest version is recommended to take full advantage of the new features of SFS2X.
TopServer updates
The patch below upgrades SmartFoxServer 2X to the latest version made available after the full installer was released. DO NOT INSTALL if you are still using a version of SmartFoxServer prior to v2.14 (see also note below).
The patch is distributed as a compressed file (.zip): uncompress it under the SmartFoxServer 2X installation folder and open the RELEASE-NOTES/Release-Notes.html file for installation instructions.

Still using a version prior to v2.14?
If you are still using an older version of SFS2X (between v2.9 and v2.13) and you don't want to move to v2.14 yet (due to the client API changes), you can get the latest cumulative for your version here. DO NOT INSTALL if you are already using SFS2X v2.14 or later.
Also make sure you check the required SFS2X version below before installing a patch.

The Windows installer is not yet signed; when launching it, you will be warned that the program is from an unknown publisher. If you trust us, go ahead; otherwise you can keep using the web-based (Flash) version of the AdminTool distributed with SmartFoxServer. In particular, Windows 10 will show the blue box shown below, preventing the installer launch. Click on the More info link to make the Run anyway button appear. | ||
